My Journey: From Victim to Survivor to Thriver

My name is Theresa and like many, I am a survivor.

As a child, I was a victim of sexual violence. What followed was not just the experience itself but the silence, the confusion and the shame that was never mine to carry. For a long time, I did not have the language for my pain. I knew something was wrong, but I did not know how to name it.

Over time, I found my voice. I began to understand, to speak and to connect with others who felt just as alone. That is when I became a survivor — but my journey did not end there. Here I am not only surviving, I am thriving and I am committed to creating spaces where others can do the same.

I am thriving in my ongoing healing journey but when I look back to when I was lost, I had searched for accurate understanding, for resources, for community, for someone who could TRULY see me. What I found was either clinical and distant or deeply triggering. There was no space that accurately held both my trauma and my wholeness — and when I could not find one, I created it.

Theresa Power Hub is born from that need. I know I am not alone on this journey. I am with millions of survivors with whom we will build this community brick by brick with our strength, our voice and our power.

My Vision

A world and community that honors healing, where survivors are seen, supported and empowered to reclaim their worth and rise boldly in their power, without shame or silence.

My Mission

To hold space for survivors in moving beyond victimhood into thriving through healing, reclaiming identity and boldly owning and expressing their power.

My Declaration

This is how I inhabit myself.

Deliberate, bold and unapologetic. Every color I wear and every space I claim is an extension of my voice, my boundaries and my refusal to be invisible. My fashion is not just style — it is my declaration, a statement of presence and a bold act of defiance against silence.

I declare that I show up here neither as a distant activist, nor a detached observer, nor as a symbol — but as a woman who has lived the journeys many fear to name and refuses to let silence define her.

What drives this platform is deeply personal and undeniably political. I have spent over a decade working at the intersection of sexual violence awareness, girls' and women's rights, human rights advocacy and community empowerment, uncovering the devastating realities of sexual violence and the urgent need to transform how we talk about pain, justice and healing.

I declare my belief in the power of survivors to reclaim their identity beyond survival. This platform honors that belief, creating a space where pain is met with dignity, where stories are shared with intent and power is loud and visible, worn like a declaration rather than hidden. Survivors are not broken — they are whole voices ready to be amplified. Every narrative of survival has the power to change minds, hearts, laws and cultures.

I declare my body as my loudest language and a powerful territory I command. I declare my power in how I exist — unapologetic in my skin, fearless in my expression, deliberate in every step I take. I inhabit myself boldly, wrapped in colors that refuse silence and demand to be seen. Every way I wear myself is a claim, a presence, a refusal to disappear. This is my power lived, embodied and spoken without permission.
